Fife Council can accept up to 5 litres of Hazardous Household Waste at Ladybank Recycling Centre. If you have hazardous waste to dispose of please contact Ladybank Recycling Centre beforehand. We will inform you to transfer the waste into suitable secure containers.

Before you come

Each site has containers for various types of waste. Before you come, please separate your waste into different types. But don’t worry if you’re not sure. We can give you advice on site about what goes where.

Taybridgehead area

Residents of Tayport, Newport, Wormit, Leuchars, Balmullo and Guardbridge are also able to use two facilities in Dundee. These are:

  • Baldovie Recycling Centre, Piper Street, Dundee.
  • Riverside Recycling Centre, Wright Street (off Riverside Drive), Dundee.

To find what you can recycle at these sites please visit the Dundee City Council website (takes you to an external site).

Kincardine residents

Residents in Kincardine can access the Forthbank Recycling Centre on Bowhouse Road, Alloa.  Residents using this site must carry proof of address to allow them access to the Forthbank site.

Visit the Clackmannanshire Council website to find the location and what you can recycle at this site (takes you to an external site).

Why separate the materials?

In Fife, we now recycle up to 70% of the materials you bring to our recycling centres but you can help us get even better.  Separating your waste into recyclable and non recyclable waste helps us to recycle even more and reduce the waste we send to landfill.
