Have your say on Dunfermline and Inverkeithing secondary schools

Archived news: published on Thursday 13 Jun 2019 by Fife Council

Can you help us shape the future of secondary schools in Inverkeithing and Dunfermline?

There are more than a few challenges ahead. More house building means more pupils than we currently have room for and some of the buildings we have are already in need of replacement.  They are either too old, inaccessible, or just not suitable for modern day learning and teaching.

We’d like to see a replacement school for Inverkeithing High School; a joint campus of Woodmill High School and St Columba’s RC High School, with the potential for a new college building there too; and in the future there will be extra places needed at Queen Anne and Dunfermline High Schools.

Quite a challenge! So far, we have a strong vision and lots of ideas but no firm proposals- that’s why we want to hear from you.

We’d like you to help us shape the future of Inverkeithing and Dunfermline secondary schools.

We are holding informal, drop-in sessions over the next two weeks where you can see and hear more about our vision, but also ask questions, raise any concerns, discuss ideas and give us your suggestions for how we can continue Building Fife’s Future.
